Program Objectives The Wings Track Club's Objectives include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Provide a structured and supervised athletic program for boys and girls.
  • Enhance the physical and psycological development of adolescent youth
  • Assist in the development of positive self-image, feeling of self-worth and sense of belonging.
  • Provide opportunities for development of leadership, teamwork, communication and interpersonal relationship skills.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! ALL GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL WINGS ATHLETES SIGN SCHOLARSHIPS TO COMPETE IN COLLEGE   8/30/2008
11 Wings Track Club high school graduating seniors signed scholarships to compete in various colleges in the State and Out-of-State. Tiffany Singleton - Texas A&M University, Robert Simmons - Louisiana State University, Kenetra Jones - University of Texas, Christina Johnson - Murray State University, Kentucky, Jarrett Gilliam - Houston Baptist University, Zelda Abadom - Houston Baptist University, Disa Foster - Houston Baptist University, Jasmine Winn - Prairie View ,Sheneria Hayden - San Angelo State University, Samone Lindsey - Texas State University, Devin Evans - Texas Lutheran University.
NEW NATIONAL JUNIOR OLYMPIC RECORD BY MIDGET GIRL RAEVYN ROGERS IN THE 800.   8/4/2008
Congratulations to Raevyn Rogers, who climaxed her unbelievable season in the 800 by setting a new record. Raevyn ran an oustanding 2:13:12 to break the 2:13:56 record set by Claudia Francis in 2005. Raevyn best the record by almost four seconds. Raevyn enters the 7th grade begining this Fall.

AN OLYMPIC DREAM ENDS WITH HONOR FOR FORMER WINGS MEMBER, CLAIRE CORMIER   7/7/2008
Claire's Olympic goal was supported by the Wings Track Club when she joined our club as a sophomore at Lamar High School. Claire's story in the link below appeared in the Houston Chronicle and serves as inspiration for our coaches, parents, and athletes. We all wish Claire continued success in all her endeavors.

2008 WINGS TRACK & FIELD FALL CLINIC STARTS ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18,2008   10/1/2008
The Wings Track Club five week Fall Clinic starts on Saturday, October 18, 2008 and continues on Saturdays through November 15, 2008 from 10am - 12pm at Willowridge High School. The clinic is for children ages 6 to 18 years old and focuses on running and throwing techniques for all athletes of different experience levels or no experience at all. JUNIOR 0LYMPICS - GULF ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND   6/9/2008
The Gulf Association Championship meet for all athletes will be on Friday, June 20 at 2:30pm and Saturday, June 21at 9:00am - Barnett Stadium. The top six athletes in each event advances to the Regional Meet in Fort Worth. THE 2008 WINGS TRACK & FIELD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM   3/8/2008
Practices and registration for The 2008 Wings Track Club Track and Field Development Program are now on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30am - 7:30pm at Willowridge High School. Registration papers can be completed at the practice facility or printed from the website. ROBERT SIMMONS QUALIFIES FOR THE U.S. JUNIOR TEAM

Congratulations to Robert Simmons of The Wings Track Club and Hightower H.S., who ran an outstanding 46.5 seconds in the 400, the fatest time by a Texas high schooler so far this year, placed 3rd, and made the U.S. Junior team that will be competing in Brazil at the Pan Am Junior meet in July 2007. Also, competing at the USA Junior Championship meet held in Indianapolis was Tiffany Singleton of Westside H.S., who ran 2:14:00.

Wings Track Club members Foswhitt Whittaker of Pearland High School and Justin Adams of Marshall High School win the Touchdown Club Offensive and Defensive Player of the year award, respectively.
